How it ran
The incentive was filed first.
A dealership that puts chargers on its lot is not only buying chargers. The ports have to land somewhere the existing service can carry, the conduit path has to cross a lot that keeps selling cars while the trench is open, and the question of whether the building's service capacity covers the new load has to be answered before anyone signs an equipment order. That is the question a dealership project starts with.
Lori Ward brought the ComEd dealer opportunity to the Cranes in the first place, and she connected them with EV Energy Group LLC — John Truckenbrod — and Christopher B. Burke Engineering — John P. Caruso, PE, as the letter names them. We wrote the scope, filed inside the ComEd rebate program, and facilitated the reimbursements. The work in the field was performed by a licensed electrical contractor under LAW Ventures' coordination.
LAW Ventures carried the ComEd filing through, and the same sequence — opportunity identified, program filed, infrastructure set up under the ComEd rebate program, reimbursement facilitated — was applied at the group's Golf Mill Chevrolet store in Niles.
