For your home

Solar, a battery, an EV charger — and the panel that runs them.

We size the system to your bills, check that your electrical service can carry it, file the ComEd rebate for you, and tell you plainly what the project costs after incentives.

What pays for it

The ComEd rebate up front, solar credits over time — and no federal credit for 2026 installs.

Up to $300/kWComEd DG Rebate — home solar

"ComEd offers the Distributed Generation (DG) Rebate up to $300/kW for an installed private solar energy system." It requires a smart inverter and cannot be reversed once claimed. If your home has legacy net metering status (interconnected before 1 January 2025), ComEd notes that claiming the rebate leaves you "only eligible to receive Net Metering credits in the Supply section" of the bill — so we model both before you choose. Under a lease, the rebate goes to the system owner, not you.

Up to $300/kWhComEd DG Rebate — home battery

ComEd's terms set "$300/kWh of nameplate capacity of an energy storage facility" for residential customers. To qualify, you agree to join ComEd's Scheduled Dispatch Virtual Power Plant program "for the required SDVPP term"; the program "is anticipated to go into effect March 1, 2027." ComEd may then dispatch the battery on scheduled events, so we size it with that in mind.

8.3¢/kWhIllinois Shines renewable energy credits — residential

ComEd describes solar renewable energy credits this way: "Residential value is currently 8.3 cents/kWh produced and paid in year one. Please note this is an incentive which is subject to tax." Credits are paid through an Approved Vendor, so what reaches you depends on what that vendor passes through — we read that term before you sign.

No federal credit§25D residential clean energy credit — ended

The IRS states the residential clean energy credit "is not available for any property placed in service after December 31, 2025." Any quote that still counts a 30% federal credit on a 2026 home install is out of date.

The rebate application goes in with the interconnection, not after. We file it; you do not have to.

How it works

  1. Send us a recent electric bill and tell us what you want — solar, a battery, a charger, or all three.
  2. We check your panel and service, size the system, and send one quote with every rebate shown line by line.
  3. Licensed, insured and bonded technicians do the work; we handle the permit, the ComEd interconnection and the rebate.
  4. ComEd grants permission to operate, and the rebate is paid to the system owner.
